Meet our Leadership Team

Mr. Carlton is the President of Tokai Carbon GE LLC. He has a strong international business background with particular expertise and extensive experience within the finance and accounting functions in a global public company. Prior to this position, Carlton held the position of President of North America for SGL Carbon for over 10 years. He worked within SGL Group for over 25 years in a variety of accounting and financial positions at various locations within and outside of the US.

Carlton also serves on the board—as well as the audit, investment, and compensation committees--of United Fire Group.

Mr. McCloy holds a degree from Vanderbilt University in international business and has worked in several European countries for some of the largest multi-national corporations. Currently, he is the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Technical Services for Tokai Carbon Graphite Electrodes. With his deep involvement in the strategic direction of the global and local business, McCloy has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the macro and micro aspects of the graphite electrode markets and external factors and has the full commercial responsibilities of the company’s Graphite Electrodes business in North America. Before joining Tokai Carbon through the acquisition of SGL’s Graphite Electrode business, McCloy was Head of Global Strategy, Marketing and the Director of Sales Americas for SGL’s Graphite Electrode division.

Mr. Watts joined Tokai Carbon GE LLC (formerly SGL Carbon, LLC) in 2010 as Director of Purchasing and Logistics and was appointed to his current role as Vice President of Supply Chain Management in October of 2017. Prior to joining Tokai Carbon, Watts was Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations for Imperial Sugar Company. From 1990 to 2009, he worked for Eaton Corporation in a variety of locations and held managerial positions including Product Line Operations Manager, Plant Supply Chain Manager, Plant Manager and Business Operations Manager. Watts holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and MBA from Clemson University.

Mr. Kriener joined Tokai Carbon GE LLC in 2017 as Vice President of Finance & Accounting. Prior to joining Tokai Carbon, he was Corporate Controller for CPI Security Systems, Inc. He served in the financial reporting group for SGL Carbon from 2012 to 2014. From 2005 to 2012, he held various positions at international accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP, including audit manager. Kriener holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also received his Master of Accounting degree. He is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Harris joined Tokai Carbon GE LLC (formerly SGL Carbon, LLC) in 1999 and was appointed Vice President of Operations in October of 2017. He began his career at Tokai Carbon’s Hickman, KY, plant in the maintenance department. In 2001, Harris was assigned the role of Engineering Manager at Tokai Carbon’s Ozark, AR, facility. In 2008, he was promoted to Plant Manager of Tokai Carbon’s Hickman, KY, plant until taking on the role as Director of Operations in 2016 where he was responsible for both Hickman and Ozark plants. Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
