JOB TITLE:  Senior Internal Auditor

FUNCTIONAL AREA:  Finance/Accounting

REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Finance & Accounting & President of TCUSH

SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENT 

This position is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects. Auditees include the subsidiaries of TCUSH. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Directly report to the VP of Finance & Accounting and the President of TCUSH

  • Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeline

  • Establish, review and maintain risk-based audit programs/procedures and systems

  • Determine scope of review

  • Review the suitability of internal control design

  • Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and dimension of risk

  • Determine compliance with policies and procedures

  • Communicate findings to senior management and draft and complete report of audit area

  • Consult with Tokai Carbon’s global headquarter where necessary

  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • CIA or CPA certification

  • 3 to 5 years internal audit experience

  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills

  • Systems knowledge and familiarity with audits

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Firm understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Section 404

  • Knowledge of accounting best practices

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to learn industry standards

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

This position works in an office and manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and frequent weather changes.
